Ollie
Ollie is based off of a real life horse I had owned. He was a Friesian and Hanoverian cross. He had originally been bought as a "trained" trail horse, but his training never went past the trails as we learned once we had him. By the time we sold him, he had light training that I did with him (basic dressage and started over jumps).
He was the calmest and sweetest horse you could ever meet. He had a passion for loving his owners and his food. We took several children who had never even been on horses before and put them on him with our guidance and they walked away not only safe, but totally in love with horses and wanting to ride. Everyone in our barn and all our friends loved him to pieces.
He also had a passion for being the jokester of the barn. His multiple antics included "hammering" (picking up a hammer in his mouth and moving it around to try to hammer nails in the fence) and constantly moving his fly spray bottle off of hanging on his bucket and setting it on the floor.
** He never once injured himself. We would never let him do any of these things if they started to become dangerous to him or us. It was simply a dorky horse being a dorky horse.
